Ability to assign Gift Notification Recipients at the Fund Level

Currently you can only assign gift notifications at the page level. However, it would be amazing if it was possible to also setup gift notifications at the fund level?
The search feature on giving pages causes issues with this as well! For Example, a donor can be on a School of Business page for example and want to give to the MBA Fund but after selecting this gift they see the fund search bar and search up Men's Basketball and give to them as well. After making the gift the School of Business Admin receive a notification for the gift but the Athletics Admin never get a notification.
Further, based on our policies currently, ideally in the situation above, the School of Business Admin would be notified for only the gift to their business fund and the Athletics department would be notified for only the gift to their athletics fund.

Additionally, it would also be helpful if the same was true for the Gift Attributes (Appeal, Package, Campaign). In some case it would be beneficial to assign these at a fund level!

Hello Brandon Michael Sweeney! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide examples of specific scenarios where assigning gift notifications at the fund level would be beneficial?
- How frequently do donors make gifts to multiple funds in a single transaction, and how does this impact your current notification process?
- Are there any specific attributes or criteria that should trigger notifications for different departments or funds?

Ginu see my responses below:
- Specifically right now we are dealing with this.... Athletics is part of our giving day (competitive giving page) due to our policies since our Giving day includes all of our funds we only have Gift processing Admin receiving notifications because Athletics can only receive Gift notifications for gifts to athletics related funds. So I can not add the admin for athletics or the admin for any unit to receive notifications to funds in their areas because it is an all or nothing for the Giving Day gift notifications.
To deal with this I am currently having one of our student workers go through the gift notification emails from the Giving Day page in order to forward the gift notifications for athletics gifts directly to the athletics admin. (Thankfully right now there are not a ton of gifts but there will be soon!)
Athletics really rely on their gift notifications as they do not have the same access to our database systems that our other units have due to current policies and business organization.
- Donors use the feature to give to multiple funds ALOT especially for giving days. It causes issues for giving day pages and the fund search on all pages.
For example A donor wants to support the School of Business MBA Fund but when visiting their custom giving page the donor sees the fund search and searches for basketball. The donor also ends up giving to basketball. This specific page would be set up to send notifications to the school of business admin. Therefore, the Business Admin will receive a gift notification but they see both the gift to business and the gift to basketball while the athletics admin never gets a notification. Technically it is against our policy for the School of Business admin to see the Athletics gift, however, due to this current limitation we have let this happen.
- The determining factor on who should receive the gift notifications is really the Fiscal Officer and Proprietary Officer of the Fund itself which varies wildly across our funds. For example, even within the School of Business related funds the Fiscal/Proprietary Officer may change depending on the Department within the school the fund falls in.
Hopefully this additional information helps!
