Even using the term "influencer" can have a negative connotation for some people. This is not a good mandatory feature.

Abdul Moiz Shadab (Almabase) I have been talking with Abdul about this as well. We would like the option to toggle off the influencer emails. We understand competitive fundraising is assisted by these emails, but in many cases we also use the competitive page set up for things like our Days of Giving where the influencer program is more than our staff size can currently manage. We also have a donor profile that skews into segments of the population who tend to question emails like this.

Kerry Ayres-Smith Emily Johnston The purpose of the influencer email in competitive fundraising pages is to encourage peer-to-peer donations, regardless of whether a donor has completed their donation. This is why it is specifically included in competitive fundraising pages and not on others. Donors automatically receive the influencer email(if they have attempted to donate) and are considered influencers only if they have driven a page visit or a gift. Hence, we think removing influencer email or even giving the ability to toggle it off defeats the purpose of competitive fundraising. We could revisit the email content to ensure it’s clear, meaningful, and easy for donors to understand. Also, I would like to understand if turning it off is a better alternative instead of us helping donors understand/communicate the purpose of the influencer email.

Please provide us the option to toggle this on/off! Many of our donors don't know that the influencer email means/don't want to be an influencer. This causes confusion on their end, and for questions to be sent out way. If we could turn this function off, we could spend more time working on supporting other parts of fundraising.
