Fix Pages Editor

The current editor used to create custom pages is not only limited in functionality but also is broken in two key areas. (1) I cannot get the embedded links to color correctly. Even when choosing "red" or "yellow" or whatever from the drop down choice in the editor, the link will not change color. (2) When editing, odd spacing issues occur. I can paste text into the document but then when trying to edit that text, odd spacing issues occur, which means I either have to create all lists from scratch on the page (not helpful when I have a list of, for example, class reps, in a Word document and want to just paste it in) or I have to make a list look perfect in Word and paste that in and anytime it needs an edit, do that outside of Almabase and then paste the new data into it.
Screenshots: the first shows how links cannot be colored and the second shows weird spacing when editing page after pasting a list from elsewhere.

Great to hear your perspective, Elizabeth Babb ’82! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you specify which browser and version you are using when encountering these issues?
- Have you tried using the editor on different devices or browsers, and if so, do the issues persist?
- Are there any specific formatting options or styles you typically use that might be affecting the spacing or link color?

Sahil Mallick 1. Safari 2. Yes tried Chrome and issue still persists. 3. No it's simple spacing and linking and I have worked with Snehil on this and he had to try to fix it in the background with straight HTML. The editor is broken.

Elizabeth Babb ’82 As a work around for the spacing issue, you can upload a screenshot of your Word formatted list as an image on the page. Sometimes I do that.

Sr. Brittany Harrison Thank you! I ended up creating the list in another document (a google sheet) and copy and pasting it into the page as a table. This sets the spacing for me. If I need two lines close together, I put them in the same cell.
