Email Pre-Headers
Sahil Mallick
Thank you for posting, Colleen Lucas! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific information or content would you like to include in the email pre-headers?
- How do you envision the pre-headers improving your current email communication strategy?
- Are there any specific examples or standards you are aiming to meet with the pre-headers?

Colleen Lucas We already have this functionality available.
You can follow these steps:
- Open your email template in the email editor.
- Drag and drop a "Text" content block to the top of your email.
- Enter your preheader text.

Tawheed Masoodi , I replied via email to a message from Sahil, but am not sure that it was received. I copied in my colleague in charge of email communications and she provided the following to expand the conversation:
We are looking to use pre headers to drive open rates of our emails. The industry standards suggestion use of pre headers in emails increase open rates and the authenticity of your email.
We would use pre headers to clearly state the action of the email so at a quick glance (2 seconds is the average amount of time someone looks at an email before deciding to open or not), they can know what is inside the email.
We are aware that not all email servers show pre headers but enough do that it is a very valuable tool we would like to have the ability to use moving forward.
It the email systems I have worked with in the past, the option to add a pre header was directly under the subject line text box.
I would love to chat further with you about it, if needed.
