Ability to assign an Email Category to system emails (eg. birthday emails).

An option to assign an email category (ex: Holiday/Birthday Greetings) to the automated system emails (ex: Birthday Wish and/or Anniversary Wish).
We want users to be able to unsubscribe or resubscribe to these automated system emails via email categories on their profile rather than solely from the recipient group via the link within the email. Constituents are unlikely to save the email in order to resubscribe to it in the future, but they may resubscribe if they see the option on their profile.
Having categories for the emails on their profiles provides a clear picture of all the types of email communications they can expect to receive. If they uncheck all the categories without unchecking the "all emails" preference, they may be upset when they receive a system generated birthday or anniversary email.

- How frequently do you anticipate users will want to change their email category preferences?
- Are there any specific types of system emails, besides birthday and anniversary wishes, that should have category options?

Hi Sahil Mallick,
- In our previous system we had a Holiday/Birthday email category and many of our alumni opted out of it. It would be great if the Almabase system emails had a drop-down where we could choose/assign an email category of our creation (from https://.../admin/email-categories/).
- It's hard to know how frequently users want to change their email category preferences. It isn't something we kept statistics on in the past. However, we do run various promotions throughout the year which require opting in to our emails to obtain and we anticipate running an opt-in mailing campaign to encourage those who opted out years ago to opt back in. Additionally, UVU's programs build upon each other so a student can graduate with a certificate then an associate, bachelor, etc. They tend to opt out of our emails until they reach their desired higher degree then opt back in.
- I am very new to Almabase and am still wrapping my head around the system and emails, so I am not sure about other system emails at this time. Maybe some of the other users who upvote this could chime in with their preferences.
