add ability to "tag" class year on posts

Nikita Seth Hi Nikita, we currently have an "Alumni in the News" space (this might be replaced when we transition to Wordpress), but it would be nice to tag the class that the person is from. For instance, one of our young alumna recently won the U.S. Women's Open in golf, and our post about this news could have tagged her class so that all her classmates would get a notification about this.

Additionally, it would be great to be able to tag people in comments, similar to how we are doing in this thread.

We are trying to see if this is feasible - but there is some complexity here. By tagging (Class of 1993) only those users who belong to Class of 1993 & have subscribed to the 'Alumni in the news' space will be notified. We also want to avoid spamming by alumni for promotional purposes (by tagging the whole class year).
We will keep you updated on our progress.

Erin Fumiko Kinney We are discussing a few of these internally. Can you give us some examples of how 'tagging class year' (For eg: @Classof1993) or 'tagging any verification group' would be helpful?
